Contact Information

DASC is a non-profit organization. The members of the Board of Directors are all volunteers, with their own families and doula businesses. Because the board members are working doulas who attend births, your email may not be answered for a day or two. Please be patient -- THANKS!

A proud board member since 2002. I am always honored to serve with the amazing women of DASC and to be a part of this growing group who gives so much to their members and the families that they serve. Being a part of this childbirth community brings me great joy and honor!

As a birth doula and infant massage instructor, my passion for empowering new families has led me to join DASC. I am honored and grateful to be a part of the board and enthusiastically look forward to contributing to the birth community every way I can!

tracy hartley, CD(DONA)
Director of Membership

I've been a birth doula since 1996, a DONA certified doula and DASC member since 1997 and have been proud to serve on the Board of Directors since 1999. I love watching DASC and the doula community grow. I have supported over 400 families through pregnancy and childbirth throughout the greater Los Angeles area.

Janna Slack
Directors of Public Relations

Following a life-long passion for service, support and the implications of pregnancy, Janna began working as a birth doula in 2009. She founded the LA Doula Project in 2010, the first organization of its kind to provide full-spectrum support to pregnant people in Los Angeles and to work in low-income clinics and make doulas a part of patient services. She lives in Hollywood and focuses on expanding the definition of and discussions surrounding doula work. She's thrilled to serve the amazing DASC community as it grows, changes and fulfills its potential.

Doris Kitchin
Member-at-Large

In addition to loving my profession, I am so happy to have aligned myself with such a wonderful and caring group of doulas. I am proud to serve as Member at Large 2010-2012. I serve families as a Postpartum Doula in Orange, Riverside, San Diego and L.A. Counties.
